Lazy once again. You can see from the acrhives that I really don't update often. I might say I am busy at times but it's all a lie. I'm just lazy. Haha. Can see that writing is not my forte. It's not that I don't have things to write. Sometimes I do, I think of it in my head then when I go home and on my com, that thought slips away... Sianz... Haha. Other times I am just too lazy to pen it down.
Well, on to bigger things. To all those that don't know yet, I will be going to Australia to further my s Wikied it, adelaide sounds like a nice small city, things are cheaper which is good. I feel really bad that my parents are spending so much money on me just for this. And the amount is really not that small. As much as my parents keep telling me that they have the money, I can't help but feel really disappointed with myself that i didn't do well enough to get into nus med. Haiz. Then again, this is really a big step in my life. I have always been living under the protection of my sisters. Call me useless, I am. Now, I am going to this completely new place, surrounded by strangers and all alone to fend for myself. I really hope I survive. Have to learn to open my golden mouth. (you too, kenneth. haha)
Got to learn how to cook, wash, iron, clean, though I must say I am mostly capable in all the tasks already. (BHB)
Well, I am quite excited too. Got my stethoscope already and it's quite fun to hear my own heartbeat with it. Can't wait to start but I am hoping that my brain hasn't atrophied. Really cannot afford to screw this up with so much money involved. Must must must must do my parents proud so that I can return them the money. Haha.
Just finished my first aid course, it was quite enjoyable. Got to meet lots of new friends from all different walks of life. Vera, a single mum who I really respect(she has gone through a lot, seriously.), michelle, a 19year old dragonboat + frisbee coach (wow), moon(i dunno how to spell it sorry), a 44 year paralympic coach that looks nothing like 44. Cool eh? What can I say? The world is a big place.
Went to Zouk with willy, xj, lut, zz and gary a few days ago. First time I see Willy drunk(haha.. willy stop denying) Glad everyone had a great time. It was really fun for me too, compared to the first time I went which was full of digusting second hand smoke. That was really terrible. Guess the group of friends you go with matter a lot too. It burned a big hole in my wallet though not going again anytime soon. (till i earn back that money)
Ok lar, got to go have my dinner.
Details...
Flight is on 24 feb and i should be in the airport at around 8pm or earlier. Depends will update you guys again when its nearer.. Till then take care!
ps: i might be changing my blog soon since diaryland is really not user friendly at adding pictures and its a good fresh start for my new life!

--*Adelaide here I come!
It's 2009! Well, 4 days ago. Haha. Still wishing everyone a happy new year. Looking at all the blogs around me, they all talk about resolutions for 2009. So I guess i should do the same?
Resolutions for 2009
1. Kick the habit of doing things the last minute
2. Find a job? (if that is possible)
3. Pick up a new sport
4. Be more proactive.
Nothing much is happening, but I shall update you guys on my Yunnan trip. Let’s say it was interesting. My advice to anyone who is going there or wants to go there: Firstly, you must love cold weather (then again, who doesn’t). Secondly, you must be able to tolerate altitude sickness. Lastly, you need a strong stomach. Why do I say this? Because yours truly probably ate something wrong and had stomach flu for 3 days. I even visited one extra destination, their hospital, to be administered a drip so I can recover faster. Trust me, you don’t want to go there. As much as the medical stuff is sterile, the other stuff isn’t the cleanest. As for altitude sickness, the elevation can get pretty high in Shangri-La, but if you went to Mount Kinabalu and came back fine, you shouldn’t have a problem.
Went to parts like the capital, Kunming, Dali, Lijiang and Shangri-La. Shangri-La was so cold my nose nearly fell off. Anyway, Here’s the map.
Kunming was the best for me though Lijiang had better scenery. (I was sick in Lijiang. Hard to appreciate beautiful scenery when you are not feeling well) Shall let the pictures do the talking.

Stone Forest. The word is 石林 not 林后. Just in case you were wondering. Haha.

More stones. You might think it’s nothing much, but it’s really quite nice.

Guess what the stone looks like. This stone is pretty famous in Yunnan.

This is from 九乡. Some naturally occurring biogenic karsts is what they call this.

This is actually made from pressed tea leaves. Cool eh? Pu er tea, famous in Yunnan.

This is me trying to be artistic. Not bad eh. Taken at a park with loads of seagulls.

Love the cherry blossoms here. Makes you feel like you are in Japan.

This pearl-like structure is in Dali. Nothing special lar. Haha.

The Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. This is the best scenery in Yunnan. Really picturesque. Though I still think Niagara Falls was much more majestic.

Another angle.

Haha. We decided to be royalty for 5 minutes. I look horribly weird.

Look at how we dress, you can imagine how cold it was. The day we went Shangri-La, the temperature was 9C to -6C.

Well, which step should I pick? The second or the third? Puzzling…
That sums up my trip to Yunnan. Yup. Happy 2009!
